produced by MITSUBISHI / POWEREX, the manufacturing of the gate driver circuits
like hybrid driver and
DC-DC converters has been outsourced to IDC ISAHAYA (Isahaya Electronics
Corporation) in year 2004.
We provide to you all Isahaya parts related to IGBTs and power
electronics, like hybrid ICs and circuits for power
and signal supply. But we cannot help with small signal and HF parts of Isahaya Electronics.
Be aware, that for most of the parts listed below are circulating also
Powerex data sheets.
Powerex Inc. has decided to source the US market still by themselves under own brand name. So for many Isahaya parts you will find a datasheet
of Isahaya and of Powerex, and sometimes even an old data sheet of
Mitsubishi. In fact, those are describing the same parts all the time.

The 7th generation Mitsubishi IGBTs have a higher gate charge [Qrr] compared to older series with the same power. That is why you should consider more power reserve in the peak gate current of your driver. For the high current NX IGBTs there are two versions of the new VLA598 driver board:
VLA598-01R without collector clamping (active clamping), and
VLA598-11R with active clamping..
